1️- The Ayous lakes with a spectacular view over the Pic du Midi d'Ossau
In the beautiful Ossau valley, don't miss the Ayous lakes ! Indissociable from the emblematic Pic du Midi, whose silhouette is reflected in the blue of their waters like a mirror, they offer a panorama like a postcard landscape.
2️- The Lescun cirque and its sumptuous limestone peaks
Nicknamed the "Dolomites of the Pyrenees" because of the impressive limestone peaks (the Ansabère needles, the Table of the three kings and Camplong), the Lescun cirque is one of the most beautiful sites in the Western Pyrenees.
3️- The Néouvielle nature reserve and its constellation of glacial lakes
Nature lovers will find most to enjoy. With 70 lakes, the Neouvielle nature reserve is one of the most important in France. It protects some of the most beautiful high-mountain lakeside landscapes in the Pyrenees. A majestic site dominated by the granite massif of Neouvielle, with its peak at over 3000m, and rich in flora and fauna.
4️- Oulettes de Gaube, at the foot of the impressive Vignemale massif
The refuge of the Oulettes de Gaube, at 2151m, offers one of the best views of the north face of the Vignemale, the highest peak in the French Pyrenees. The Gaube valley will also enchant you with the beauty of its lake.
5️- Bouillouses lake, one of the largest lakes in the French Pyrenees
At the foot of the Carlit, the Bouillouses lake offers a unique high mountain landscape (mountain lakes and state forests), like a lunar landscape.
