I am writing to you from the Eurostar on the way back to the UK. I just want to take a moment to pass on my heartfelt thanks to you and your colleagues at Respyrénées for helping me realise my GR dream. It truly was a beautiful project and I was amazed at how smoothly the logistics went and thought everything from the App to the accommodation was of the highest standard. It truly is a magnificent walk and I hope the first of several I will take in the Pyrenees, for which I would definitely return to Respyrénées. Merci beacoup. Very best

We had a wonderful holiday, thanks. The organisation was very smooth, and all the bag transfers and taxi pick-ups were perfect. The scenery was amazing everywhere we went. Some of the hikes were long and a bit tiring, but we really enjoyed the challenge. We’re already thinking about next year!

Firstly the Pyrenees are spectacular and all the walks were wonderful. The only criticism here have was that your length of each walk was not the same as our gps! meaning that we did many more kilometres! The accommodation was simple but each host was unique and kind. Cauterets was a great base and we all loved this town. The dinner meals at all accommodations offered were simple hearty and delicious. The breakfasts at all accommodation except for Gavernie were very basic and a bit disappointing. But we accepted it as the norm. The transfers were excellent and the bus drivers were lovely. All said and done we had a fantastic time and a great holiday.

This was my second time booking with Respyrenees. It was equally successful. Last year I walked the first week of the GR10 alone but with the back up of Respyrenees I never felt alone. This year we were two and again walked self guided. We were provided with marked up maps and we used the app as we walked for a bit of additional security! Everything went to plan and in the event of a query - an email to Gaetan was answered swiftly and helpfully. We had a super time - the accommodation worked well and the food was good and plentiful. When we arrived each evening at our accommodation the word Respyreness always provoked a huge smile and a great welcome. I'm looking forward to next year and continuing the GR10 with the support of Gaetan and the Respyrenees team. A joy from start to finish.

Very happy to recommend Respyrénées. Good to have an organization run by people who know the mountains rather than by managers. The organization and back-up were great. The walk was tough in places, but they said it would be. We enjoyed the variety of accommodation. Everyone on the team seemed to speak excellent English.

An outstanding trip. Well planned and organized. All of our luggage and taxi transfers worked flawlessly. Accomodations were comfortable, rich in character. Food excellent. Had a crisis when the village of Etsaut flooded and called the respyri emergency number on a saturday and received timely help to remedy our situation. A great trip

So we got to the finish line. We had rain, sun and snow ! Walked 210 kms ascended 12825m and descended 13374m and got to over 2500m. Had whiteouts, walked in clouds and glorious sunshine. Saw magnificent mountains and valleys, met some really interesting people. My partner had her first experience of dormitories in refuges and we stayed in idiosyncratic, individual gîtes that without exception were all incredibly hospitable . Special mention should be made of the Hôtel Castets d'Ayré in Barèges. The rain had been so bad that the road to Oredon had been washed away and our baggage transfer was not possible. They drove all the way to Tourmalet car park with our bags for us to choose a change of clothes and our toothbrush for the unexpected overnight stay without our bags. What service ! We had encounters with patou, saw marmots, vultures and deer. It’s was an adventure of epic proportions ! This would not have been possible without the organisation and support of Respyrénées, especially when we asked for some modifications to the route midway which the team handled very quickly and efficiently. So thank you to the team, we will be back for the next stages without a doubt

What a trip- thanks to The RESPY team! It was quite an adventure, some tough trekking in wild weather however thanks to the team we always had somewhere to rest and refresh - we even had our own recital at La Ferme de Florence which was a real treat! Absolutely recommend!
